Are you a ‘niche collector’, like us? Seriously, we love niches. We first got interested in AdSense niches five years ago, when we accidentally found out that you can make either $0.02 or $2.42 per click. The difference? Topic of your article. So right away, we started wondering – what’s the most profitable Adsene keyword(s) out there? Then we stumbled upon unusual business niches. Then we found out that a lot of people are looking for a good website niche (aka profitable website niches) to start their business. So we decided to start a niche website that covers nothing but profitable (crazy, unusual) niches. If you are a nicheholic, you’ll love NicheGeek.com

Business Opportunity, Homebusiness, MLM Leads- *** Niche

Business opportunity and homebusiness is a niche that I know very well and have had quite a success with. In fact, my most profitable website is exactly on the subject. I love to read about business opportunities and successful homebusinesses, though I have to admit I hate MLM and would advise anyone to steer clear from it (some claim to make a lot of money by selling MLM leads they captured online).

I am amazed about how hungry people are for good information on homebusinesses and business opportunities. Most people don’t want anything to do with MLM, they certainly don’t get very excited about pen assembly or mail stuffing. Which creates a HUGE void for real non-BS information about real business opportunities and homebusinesses.

In selling, it is important to understand not only the nature of the product you are offering but the nature of your prospect as well. When I was in college and thinking about joining a fraternity, I had an experience that really points out the value of understanding this very important trigger.

Of all the fraternities I could have joined in college, I chose the worst one. Why? After spending time visiting various fraternities, I had figured out the nature of why guys join a fraternity in the first place.

David Wirtenberg, 28
Outrageous Auctions (eBay User ID: outrageousauctions)
New York City
Projected 2006 Sales: $8 million to $10 million
Description: Engagement rings, wedding bands and other jewelry

Turning Talk Into Sales: David Wirtenberg loves to talk. "I could talk your ear off," he says. "I love what I do. I'm a very passionate person." His ability to make sales, and his prior experience in sales for Bear Stearns and Auto Data Processing, helped him build his business from scratch in 2003. His father-in-law became his inspiration and behind-the-scenes mentor. "He said, 'Let's see if we can sell jewelry on the internet,'" Wirtenberg recalls. "I went to 47th Street in Manhattan. I knocked on every door. I didn't know anything about diamonds at the time. I was looking for suppliers, for an education, anything." He ended up buying a couple of diamond rings, and he immediately sold them for a profit on eBay. "I thought, 'This could be something.'"

Princess Cruise, Alaska Cruise, European Cruise, Etc. - *** to **** Niche

Cruises are hot. Before I dive into AdSense part, let me say this – you can make more money selling cruises by becoming an affiliate (through companies like CruiseDirect) than from ads. You can get 15-25% from each sale and (lucky for you) most cruises sold are family courses, honeymoon cruises and other types of romantic cruises, so you’ll hardly ever see a solo ticket sale, unless it’s a cruise that hosts seminar or something like that.

OK, let’s talk cruises. There are three cruise subniches. First is cruise destination (Alaska cruise, Mexico cruise, Panama cruise, Caribbean cruise, Hawaiian cruise, etc). All destinations aren’t created equal. More expensive ones tend to better, although I find Alaska cruises and European cruises to do miracles for me.

Using the Seminar to Sell Your Consulting Services

Seminars are a great way to trade your customers up to consulting. For some people, your seminar will be the first product they have bought from you. Others will have purchased other products before attending your event. In either case, the seminar gives you a chance to showcase both your speaking skills and your content knowledge.

There are other models for generating consulting business, but doing seminars is one of the easiest I know about. The keys to generating consulting business are similar to those that lead to a great seminar experience.

First, you have to give people an incredible amount of useful information. This will convince them of your knowledge of the topic and your willingness to share it.

Making Millions Cleaning Other People's Garages

GarageTek was a no-brainer when Shuman founded it in 2000. He got the idea when he and his father, with whom he outfitted department store interiors, designed and built a set of slotted wall panels with moveable shelves for a retail client. When several of his employees began using the panel systems to organize their own garages and basements, Shuman realized he had a potential hit on his hands. And the timing seemed perfect: The housing market was heating up, garages were getting bigger, and closet organizers were all the rage. Shuman decided to sell the display business and open GarageTek.

Franchise, Franchise Consultant, Buy Franchise, Top Franchises - **** Plus Niche

I’ve rated franchising four stars plus, because when you work with franchising, you may see sudden spikes in earnings beyond what you can imagine. This often happens as a new franchise owner starts a bidding frenzy to attract qualified prospects. So if you are playing with franchises, anything is possible (I mean it in a positive way).

Buying a franchise is one of the most popular ways of starting a business (and a relatively safe one). Franchising business opportunities vary in price tremendously. Some low cost franchises take only a few grand to get off the ground. Others cost 100K plus. A lot of people chose to hire franchise consultants, because the choice is really huge and sometimes difficult to make.

Acne And Acne Control - **** Niche

Oh yeah, acne. The nightmare for every teenage boy or girl, although adult acne is a problem for some as well. Acne control and various acne treatment methods is something that people with acne always search for.

There is plenty of information on acne, like acne diets, speculations whether sweat clears acne, tips for getting rid of acne, but the truth is that people with acne will always buy acne products and search for new ones, because whatever acne medicine they currently use is likely to produce only marginal results. (You don’t really trust those before and after ads, do you)?

Stupidity Or Laziness?

The incredible stupidity, cheapskatedness, laziness of business owners is most visible in their consistent bizarre behavior regarding present customers vs. new customers or prospects.

They are loathe to spend money and time on the people who have already proven they will patronize them and, in fact, do patronize them. But always willing to pour time and money into chasing the next new customer. They are in ardent, sweaty, drooling lust for the next new conquest, completely uninterested in the already conquered.

There are many reasons for this far too numerous to analyze here. They range from perverse human nature to economic ignorance to boredom to foolish belief in customer loyalty and on and on and on.

Printer Cartridges, Ink and Ink Refills - *** Niche

I love ink refills and printer cartridges niche. Once in a great while you stumble upon a niche that isn’t very profitable on per-click basis but still delivers great results. Ink, toner and cartridges is just such a niche. It reminds me of Coke and Pepsi. A can is only about a quarter a piece, but both companies still make billions.

Ok, so let’s talk cartridges. Two niches here. One is new cartridges, another one is refills. I personally like cartridge refills and toner refill kits better. But that’s just a personal bias.

Second thing to pay attention to – ink cartridges or toner cartridges. Toner cartridges tend to be more expensive, but I can’t say that toners get you much more money than ink in terms of AdSense revenue. My guess is that companies that sell cartridges, whether ink or toner, bid on both terms and carry both ink and toner, so it makes no difference.
