PBX is a technical term from telephony and it stands for private branch exchange. VoIP is the name for “voice over the internet protocol”. As I said before, one of the most surprising discoveries for me was that certain acronyms (like PBX and VoIP) can make an obscene amount of money for you.

Telephony, especially corporate phone systems is an extremely profitable niche for PBX manufacturers and installation companies. They can make hundreds of thousands just from a single building. Recently, telephony software called Asterisk was released. It’s completely open source and entirely replaces phone switchers and PBX, saving a boatload of money. At least, that’s what I got from reading technical articles about Asterisk.

VoIP is another promising technology that’s overtaking both corporate and consumer markets. Chances are many of you already use VoIP, because it’s much cheaper that using regular fixed phone lines (phone companies aren’t too happy about that, as you can guess).

PBX and VoIP are probably too technical for most AdSensers, but I thought I’d just share my findings with you anyway.

In order not to violate Google TOS, I rate niches with my own star system. ** - $0.20-$0.30 per click average, *** - $0.30-$0.50 per click average, **** - $0.50-$0.70 per click average, ***** - $0.70-$1.20 per click average. While I don’t mind sharing information on ***** niches, I don’t make this information publicly available because it would quickly kill these niches or get Google pissed off at me.

All AdSense niches were tested by me personally and your results shouldn’t be very different, unless your account was smart-priced, too much time passed since my testing, MFA got a hold of the niche or your site or traffic source sucks big time.
