Selfstorage, Self storage - *** Niche

I haven’t seen selfstorage on any high paying keyword lists (one of those days I should experiment with that niche itself), but selfstorage surely worked for me. No dollar clicks, unfortunately, but the average is still fairly high and CTR is great.

I got the idea for this niche from one teleconference call I listened to several months ago. This guy (sorry, I don’t remember the name) who used to own four self storage locations in the past got a brilliant idea. He knew that the owners of self storage facilities spent a lot of money on advertising, since he was one of them.

So he approached several big self storage companies with a proposal that he would sell leads to them and get paid only for sign ups. I think he managed to get 20 bucks for every contract signed.

But that’s not the most interesting part. The most interesting part is HOW he got these leads. “Selfstorage” and “self storage” are pretty hard to rank for, but if you create thousands of pages for “selfstorage + town name”, you can easily get ranked for smaller towns and get traffic that way.

I have decided against this strategy as too labor intensive (though it might work for you), so I created a simple linkbate article about “Selfstorage secrets” (like the fact that you can get your first month storage for one dollar) and my first results indicate that selfstorage is a worthy niche to go after.

Pretty cool, ain’t it?

If you feel that you aren’t getting as much money from AdSense as you could, here are some tips that will help you get there:

The AdSense Code: What Google Never Told You About Making Money with AdSense

In order not to violate Google TOS, I rate niches with my own star system. ** - $0.20-$0.30 per click average, *** - $0.30-$0.50 per click average, **** - $0.50-$0.70 per click average, ***** - $0.70-$1.20 per click average. While I don’t mind sharing information on ***** niches, I don’t make this information publicly available because it would quickly kill these niches or get Google pissed off at me.

All AdSense niches were tested by me personally and your results shouldn’t be very different, unless your account was smart-priced, too much time passed since my testing, MFA got a hold of the niche or your site or traffic source sucks big time.

How to make it?

i like your blog very much.

How do you make all this work for you? Do you create blogs, MFA sites or portals to cash-in on those niches quickly?

I don't do MFA sites,

I don't do MFA sites, because these don't get any repeat traffic, but I love blogs. This site itself is an example of how you can be creative about publishing content on a certain topic. But blogs are my favorite. As long as your content is good, you'll get both traffic and clicks. But it won't work in every instance. In fact, you'll have more failures that successes, but that's perfectly normal.
